Beat The Heat: 6 Ways To Stay Cool In The Sweltering Summer Heat

Everyone enjoys a beautiful day with warm weather. Even those who enjoy summer agree that heat waves may be rather unpleasant. Everything looks good until you have to stay indoors.

Stepping outside on a hot summer day might be challenging. Sweat and heat may quickly dehydrate you and make you feel tired. Here are 6 summer hot tips to help you stay cool.

1.  Stay Hydrated:

The simple rule for surviving the summer heat is to stay hydrated. Drinking water helps to keep the fluid balance in your body, which is easily lost through sweat. Regardless of the weather, everyone should drink 2 litres of water every day. Summer requires a little more effort due to the sudden loss of water from the body. Juice, coconut water, and hydrating fruits are all good options.

2. Take A Luke Warm Shower:

In hot weather, taking a cold shower may seem relaxing and comforting, but scientists believe it really makes you feel hotter. Because your body has to work harder to warm up after a cold shower, this is the case. According to studies, warm water cools your bloodstream.  As a result, choosing it is the better option.

3. Avoid Tea and Coffee:

Caffeine and nicotine consumption can also increase body temperature. They constrict blood vessels, causing the blood to warm and making you feel hot and sweaty. Cool beverages such as coconut water, lemon water, and fruit juices are recommended. Even excessive alcohol consumption should be avoided.

4. Eat Light Meals:

Heavy meals might also cause your body to heat up and make you feel uncomfortable. Your body needs to work harder to digest and metabolize food after a large meal. This raises your core temperature and makes you sweaty and exhausted. In the summer, eat light, freshly prepared meals. Processed foods and salty meals should be avoided.

5. Cool Your Toes:

Cooling your toes is a simple way to reduce your body temperature if you\’re feeling too hot. Putting wet clothing on and soaking your feet in cool water for a few minutes will help you relax and chill off. Wet socks can also be worn for a time.

6. Wear Loose Cotton Clothes:

Wearing dark-colored, tight-fitting clothing might make you sweat more. Choose loose, light-colored cotton clothing if you want to keep cool and avoid excessive sweating. Sweat does not evaporate while you are wearing heavy clothing. Dark hues absorb longer wavelengths of light, making you feel hotter.
