Frequently asked questions

Skin pigmentation is the natural color of the skin. The reason why human beings come in different hues is that of melanocytes. These are the cells that produce melanin, which is the pigment responsible for the color of your hair, eyes, and skin.

Melanin provides cosmetic variation, aids in heat regulation, and protects the body from UV radiation.

These are regulated by factors such as genetics, endocrine system, and the environment.

Treatments can take 5 to 30 minutes or more, depending on the size of the treatment area. If a topical anesthetic is necessary, you should allow 20 to 30 minutes or more for it to take effect. This is best discussed with our team before treatment.

While treatments can help remove the signs of aging, sun damage and pigmentation, they cannot stop the process. Exceptional results can be maintained with follow-up treatments and a daily sunblock regimen.

All treatments have been carefully researched and FDA cleared.

Most patients experience considerable improvement after 2 to 4 treatments, depending upon the skin condition and level of treatment. However, regular follow up maintains the skin and keeps pigmentation at bay.
